Service Technician

Minimum Qualifications

• Maintain valid driver’s license throughout employment

• EPA Universal Refrigerant Recovery Certification Certificate

• Journeyman HVAC License

• Must be able to work independently following a brief period of specific technical training.

 

Essential Duties

• Accountable for inventories, requisitions, materials, and supplies needed for each job.

• Must utilize power tools (drills, generators, saws, lifts, vacuum equipment).

• Climb ladders and stairs.  Work off ladders using hand tools and power tools to include working off lift platforms at heights above six feet.  Use lifting, moving and rigging equipment to safely move, transfer or relocate heavy equipment.

• Operate refrigeration recovery equipment in compliance with EPA guidelines.

• Work in adverse working conditions such as confined spaces, dirty/greasy areas, low lighting, and extreme temperatures.  Stoop, bend and reach.  Lift up to 75 pounds.

• Professional, courteous, and respectful to customers as well as fellow employees.  Strong communication skills and commitment.  Professional personal appearance and some internet skills.  100% dedication to safety, working hard, being on time and staying organized.

• Drive company vehicles.

• This position requires working a rotating on-call/standby schedule and may be called in for emergency response including nights, weekends, and holidays.  Occasional overnight travel.

 

The pre-employment screening will include verification of work history, academic credentials, licenses, and certifications.  Upon employment, a Department of Motor Vehicle search will be conducted.  A criminal record or driving violations will not be cause for automatic application rejection.
